What if they made a high, fast I/O version of the drive so that you could run your entire OS from a BD-RW?

I'm looking for a good dock that I can use my iPod nano and iPhone 3g with. I'm going for sound clarity and good volume.. and would like to budget at around $100.

Would prefer one that works with an AC Adapter as well as battery's.

    Any suggestions?

You don't believe me? He sent that to my eBay and now the auction is cancelled like he just said he was going to do. Sucks but I dont think that other guy is going to get his money back. Not like we are going to find out either.

Oh I believe you now, but you didn't say he messaged you through ebay beforeI thought you meant he pm'd you here.

You need to ask yourselves a questions: How these stores operating? and Why products end up there?

Apparently, some authorized retailers overstock iPads or could not move projected volume, so they dumped some unsold inventory to Marshalls and TJMax, just to get some cash back, quick.

Overstocked with iPads??? Not a good news for Steve.

What is the issue here? iPads are sold in Walmart and Target and nobody complains.

I think the biggest issue with it comes from the actual Apple authorized retailers. For instance, in my line of work (golf course management), I purchase golf equipment directly from the manufacturers (Callaway Golf, Nike, Titleist, etc). To be able to do that, I HAVE to agree to a minimum advertised pricing (MAP) policy, or I can't buy directly from them nor be listed as a retailer of that company's products (any retailer buying from directly from the manufacturer has to abide by this). If I then saw a major retailer (a competitor) advertising products that I sell for significantly lower than I am allowed to (knowing that all official retailers are supposed to be bound by this agreement to even sell the products as an "authorized retailer"), then I'm going to be pretty upset as to why I have to abide by it to get my goods, when either they (the competitor discounting said merchandise) aren't, or either they are getting a cheaper price (allowing them to sell for a lower price than me, yet still keep similar profit margins). And if they are in violation of this MAP policy, I'm going to damn sure be wondering why the manufacturer (in the iPad case...Apple), isn't going after them (telling them to stop, if they are an authorized retailer), or pulling their account. In the golf business, the manufacturers go hard after companies that violate this MAP policy.

Today, I went to use my Mac and the Internet won't connect. Airport says it's connected (with the full set of bars). And my other wifi equipped devices are working fine.

Anyone got any suggestions? Any help would be appreciated.

Is there a way to tell if my imacg5 has ever had a re-install of its operating system.

I'm curious to know how many times it has been re-installed?

"how can i record multiple channels from a yamaha o1v96 with midi out into my mac with garageband. And be able to mix later."

How many discrete channels do you want to record at once?

I think GarageBand's "limit" is 8 channels simultaneously, though I haven't used it in a while and the most recent versions of GB may be able to do more.

What kind of outputs does the Yamaha mixer have?

When you join the Apple developers program, you sign an agreement to not discuss confidential and pre-release software outside of approved forums. Posting reviews of Leopard features in a public blog is the best way to get your developer membership voided and get a nastygram from Apple Legal, at the very least. You'd imagine that people would have caught on by now...

You do realize thatEurope's population is expected to fall catastrophically due to a low birth rate

Even if I assume this unsourced soundbite is true, there is a missing phrase: "without intervention."

If it really came down to it, the EU (or any other country/countries with a declining birth rate) could enact any number of policies or incentives to bolster the population, including making it easier for gay couples to adopt. So what?

The intervention should not be forbidding or discriminating against a group because of their sexual behavior. If it's all about the birthin' then they better start taking a hard look at those hetero scofflaws who don't want to have kids, too. *Gasp*

Apple should really diversify their suppliers anyway, which is what they look like they are doing. Cut Samsung supply by 50%, and threaten all of it if they don't get their act together. Surely Samsung doesn't think that that they can bring in this kind of revenue on their own merit. Outside of LCD televisions, Samsung has an image problem, and even that has only improved in the last few years.

Yeah not going to hurt samgsung on bit.

Apple needs Samsung more than Samsung needs Apple.
Reason being is the parts Samsung is supply there is already a shortage of them on the market. Apple drops them all Samsung does is go to the next guy and more than likely for more money.

Apple on the other hand will struggle to find a new supplier.

Do people really get excited about this? I've never owned an iPhone, as I'm loyal to Verizon and at this point am waiting for the iP5, but I think black looks farrrrrrrrr better than the white model.
